Toledo Zoo Aquarium wins 2015 Build Ohio Award

Toledo Zoo Aquarium wins 2015 Build Ohio Award

The Associated General Contractors of Ohio honored the Toledo Zoo for its aquarium renovation with a 2015 Build Ohio Award. Rudolph Libbe served as construction manager.

The Toledo Zoo had a unique vision for this project – to preserve the historic 75-year-old building's exterior and create a 21st century aquarium inside the 30,000-square-foot building footprint. The remodel nearly quadrupled water volume from 46,000 to 170,000 gallons. The aquarium now includes 32 exhibits with 200 species.
